01The Training

For teachers ready to go further

A 300-hour training is a serious undertaking. You may be unsure of your physical practice, or find that material from your 200-hour course has faded. The training starts by revisiting the basics with fresh eyes, then goes further into asana, anatomy, pranayama, philosophy and meditation, with guidance at every stage.

You do not need to have trained with Avana Yoga. We welcome all teachers who hold a 200-hour certificate from a Yoga Alliance registered school.

03Before you apply

Pre-Requisite

This advanced training is for teachers who are:
  • Graduates of a 200-hour yoga teacher training from an RYS 200 registered yoga school
  • Physically and mentally ready for intensive teacher training
  • Ready to adapt to a yogic lifestyle
  • Serious about their own practice

04Certification

Yoga Alliance registration

Avana Yoga is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School, and this is a Yoga Alliance registered 300-hour advanced training. Yoga Alliance does not register 300-hour teachers on their own: completing this training alongside a 200-hour training counts towards the training requirement for RYT 500, subject to Yoga Alliance’s teaching-hour requirements.

Graduation

The certificate will be awarded on successful completion of the course.

Written and practical assessments will have to be completed at the end of the course; in order to graduate students must attend a minimum of 90% of the course. Should a student miss more than this, they will be required to take catch-up classes as agreed with the tutor. These will incur an additional charge.
